One of the programming languages on my to-do list is Swift. Several months back, before I enrolled in General Assembly's Full Stack Web Development course, I applied to CodePath's iOS for Designers program. Even though I wasn't selected, I was glad that I had the opportunity to play around with Swift and build a little project.
The application process required building a simple tip calculator and making a GIF walkthrough using LiceCap. In total, I spent eight hours on this project - I started over at some point because I got a bit lost in the code.
There are so many amazing resources out for anyone wanting to learn Swift. Most are not free, but here is one that I came across in the iTunes store that is: Developing iOS 8 Apps with Swift
I began experimenting with adding an app icon set and launch screen image to Tippr. Updates to that feature will be included in the repo. Tutorials for how to do that can be found here and here.
